What It Is

A distributed antenna system (DAS) is a network of antennas distributed throughout a building, connected to a shared signal source, that brings cellular coverage indoors where building materials, geometry, or distance from a macro tower block it naturally.

DAS is typically required when a building's size, construction (low-E glass, concrete, structural steel), or occupancy triggers a local fire code requirement for emergency responder radio coverage — and it's the right answer whenever indoor cellular coverage is inconsistent enough to affect patient care, guest experience, or life-safety communication.
